Label Review

All natural health products (NHPs) must be labeled and packaged according to the Natural Health Products Regulations before sale in Canada. Label text is required for outer packaging, inner packaging, leaflets and/or inserts. Content and format of labels must comply with the requirements outlined in the Regulations. Labels must display at least 17 key pieces of information including, but not limited to, recommended conditions of use, medicinal ingredients, non-medicinal ingredients, source material, risk information and the name and address of the product license holder or importer. Required information on the label must be displayed in both official languages.

Imperia reviews the proposed labeling for a company’s NHPs to make sure the NHPs fully comply with label requirements contained in Canada’s Natural Health Products Regulations.
